镀铑
    铑是铂的同系，称为铂族稀有贵金属。目前市场价格每克约2450－2600元。超过铂金价格的5倍。铑镀层呈银白色、有光泽、反光性能很好、对可见光的反射在80%以上。因铑镀层的抗蚀性能非常好，长期置于大气或恶劣环境中、表面永不变色。铑镀层的硬度极高，为银层的8-10倍。其耐磨性能很好，故常作为抗腐蚀、耐磨等装饰镀层、以及首饰、防银变色的保护镀层，是铂系金属中应用最多的一种。
    一般镀铑方法：先镀钯(钯也是铂族稀有贵金属)作为底层，再镀铑。

    圣火盆与火种灯、火炬一样是北京2008年奥运会火炬接力活动景观形象的组成部分，主要用于火炬接力城市庆典活动，点燃圣火盆意味着当天火炬接力传递活动的结束和庆典活动的开始。圣火盆采用“天圆地方”的理念，以中国青铜器代表作——鼎以及祥云图案为设计元素，顶部镂空的56朵祥云象征中国56个民族把祝福带到五大洲，四柱八面象征北京奥运会欢迎四面八方的宾朋。
    此圣火盆珍藏版是按实际造型同比例缩小，规格为130mmX130mmX130mm，以1000克足银精工打造，整体表层镀铑。底座为合金镀金和木质组合。台面雕刻云纹，台面上四根合金圆柱顶端镶嵌四颗玛瑙石，上罩有机玻璃罩。形象逼真，庄重高雅。整体规格200毫米X200毫米X225毫米（高）。配有白银检验证书、收藏证书和北京2008年奥运会特许商品防伪标签，限量编号发行6666件。
This Beijing 2008 Olympic Cauldron Collector’s Edition is made by authorization of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad.
Like the torch relay lantern and the torch, the Olympic cauldron is one of the main representative elements for Beijing 2008 Olympic Torch Relay and is mainly used for celebration of the city torch relay. The lighting of the Olympic cauldron symbolizes the end of the Olympic Torch Relay and the beginning of the Olympic celebration. Based on the traditional Chinese concept of round heaven and square earth, the Olympic cauldron is made into the shape of Ding, a typical bronze vessel in ancient China,  that carries some lucky clouds. The 56 hollowed-out lucky clouds on the top of the cauldron symbolize that the 56 nationalities of the Chinese nation extend their best wishes to the five continents while its four columns and eights sides imply that Beijing Olympic Games welcomes friends from all over the world.
This Olympic Cauldron Collector’s Edition has a specification of 200mm×200mm×225mm, consisting of a miniature of the cauldron, a baseplate and an organic glass box. The cauldron miniature is made of 1000g fine silver plated by rhodium with a specification of 130mm×130mm×130mm. The baseplate is made of gold-plated alloy and wood, whose table board is carved with clouds. On the baseplate stands four alloyed columns at four corners, each embedded with a carnelian on the top. The entire design is very vivid and exquisite. With each carrying a silver fineness certificate, a collection certificate, and an anti-counterfeit label for the Beijing 2008 Official Licensed Product, this special edition has a limited circulation of 6,666 pieces that have been serially numbered.
